God’s Love for Israel
11 “When Israel was a child, I loved him,
and out of Egypt I called my son.
2 But the more they were called,
the more they went away from me.
They sacrificed to the Baals
and they burned incense to images.
3 It was I who taught Ephraim to walk,
taking them by the arms;
but they did not realize
it was I who healed them.
4 I led them with cords of human kindness,
with ties of love.
To them I was like one who lifts
a little child to the cheek,
and I bent down to feed them.
That was today’s passage for reflection. And as I replace Israel and Ephraim to my name. It was a really beautiful passage. To know that I have been loved when I was a child, it is really special.
Coming together as friends, we reminisced about the days when we were young. (I wonder how many would reminisced the past with God). So I did. Stories of who I was in the past and who I am now. Simple memory of how I loved to play on the organ when the guest comes to me playing in church and having music as a career.
Of course, there were times when I was naughty. Times when I cried myself to sleep. AND the numerous times I stood by the road, legs wouldn’t move, only to find a car sped me by.
So have a coffee with God.
Talk about the times for he has loved you
Have a blessed day.
