Who to tell what …

It has been a while now, things are sort of back to normal. I am back to work on a new musical, living away from my family and my dad who just had a mild stroke. It has been an eventful year.

I was given a pair of tickets on the new musical that I was working on. For that moment I paused. “Who to invite”. I could come out with 10 friends. Yet, when my dad had a stroke, I probably only told 5 friends.

Sometimes I wonder why we tell our friends the happenings of home. They might pray for us and our situation. They would be more understanding if you bailed from the next gathering. As friends, there is limited support that they can give. So why do we tell them?

The only logical/illogical reason is that we are friends. Friends share our lives.
